Mushroom Awakening Transformation Philosophy

Our retreats are designed for supporting the most profound positive and lasting change. We continuously self reflect and see how we can support and serve you better to invite transformation to happen.

Underneath we explain the process of realigning your system with the peace and safety that is here and now and invite you to start living from a more holistic place. To be and act not only from the mind, but consciously include the gut and heart in the process.

Then we get into the therapeutic approach, focusing on the different levels of influence and their value for your transformation process.

Finally, we discuss the transformation trinity, recognizing your essence beyond the persona we are taught we are, our innate automatic recalibration mechanism, which brings the system back to healthy balance and our inner guide, the felt Yes and No that guides us through life.

We work through the following phases of change towards lasting change and authenticity.

1) Most of our interpretations, actions and choices are influenced by the experiences and believed stories from our past. Everything we took as truth is stored in our ‘internal library of knowledge’. Safety being the most important element, perceived threat and the way to cope with that is strongly developed in our early years. This body of knowledge sinks into the subconscious and functions as the basis of our perceived and created world as adults. Times change though, situations change. Still we run on the old software if it is not updated through time.

2) To update the software (the assumptions about what is true and wise to do), we need to make it conscious again. After all, what you don’t know you can’t change. We do this by allowing the body to speak its truth without judgement. Furthermore, to update the software we give space to the release of tension built up around the theme, we would like to change. This is the physical energetic element of the old stories.

3) When we gradually disconnect from the past stories and become aware of their limited nature, there is liberation. Old forces are losing their power because they are not seen as true anymore. This process goes hand in hand with the opening up to a new updated interpretation of what is true and wise.

Many high performers who encounter a lack of motivation, happiness and purpose after achieving their successes, do so because their initial motivation is consciously or unconsciously rooted in early age coping mechanisms, brought along into their adult lives. Becoming aware of the outdated inner motivations, they can change course, bring their valuable knowledge and experience with and use it to start realizing their life’s purpose, aligned with their hearts.

4) For this change of direction to take place, we need to reconnect to the heart, to the inner compass, showing us the most natural, profound and meaningful way of being and of expressing ourselves. This is a journey from the head to the heart and gut, in order to allow alignment to what really feels good to take place. We cultivate this change with little exercises and felt confirmation via the body. We start acting on what feels good and right.

5) The last phase is a continuous calibration of being and acting in accordance to the collective feedback from gut, heart and mind together. Instead of the actor and decisionmaker, we become the neutral witness, allowing life’s energy to tell us what is best. The invitation is to surrender and trust this inner guide, say Yes and allow the flow state to occur.

Our aim is to maximize the level of sustainable transformation.

For this reason we aim to explore the most fundamental levels of transformation, in accordance to the Logical Levels of Learning. This philosophy was first introduced by Gregory Bateson in the mid-1900s and later expanded into the Logical Levels of Change by Robert Dilts in the 1980s.

The Bateson model emphasizes that human behavior and learning are best understood holistically, as each level, from environment and behavior to capabilities, values, and identity, is interconnected.

Lasting transformation usually occurs when change starts at higher levels, such as identity or values, because these shifts naturally cascade down to influence behaviors and skills. Whereas altering only the environment often produces temporary results.

Based on the Logical Levels of Bateson and core Life principles, we developed the trinity of transformation, primarily targeting the higher levels of learning and change, such as purpose, identity, beliefs and values.

Underneath you read about the three main pillars, we built our psilocybin assisted retreat programs on.

Mushroom Awakening psilocybin retreat in Costa Rica its first principle is Awakening as the Witness of life, rather than being the little individual
Mushroom Awakening psilocybin retreat in Costa Rica its second principle is learning to trust the body to heal itself if we treat it well and open up to what appears and disappears, while it unwinds
Mushroom Awakening psilocybin retreat in Costa Rica its third principle is connecting with its guidance via feelings. The subtle impulses already tell you what's best for you

We introduce these principles throughout the program, as many of our modalities are rooted in them.
A central element is reconnection to the body. It’s the gateway to deeper self-awareness. The body continuously reflects what supports or drains us; learning to listen to it is key to lasting transformation.

High performance often comes at the cost of physical and mental well-being. During the retreat, you’ll learn how to rebalance both, aligning your priorities to achieve sustainable performance. This integrated approach naturally leads to higher effectiveness, greater clarity, and lasting fulfillment in both your personal and professional life.

Feel free to contact us to learn more how we integrate these principles in your psilocybin retreat.
